Digital Cameras-1

Pocket Sized Cameras

Powerful Features offered in Digital Pocket Sized CamerasSolid technology and ease of use are among the never ending wonders of pocket sized cameras. It's all designed to take photos that are crisp, clear, and vivid in color and detail. There is plenty of flexibility in the available accessories and options for photo qualities such as the softness of objects. If the camera maker concentrates solely on one are, however, the quality and performance in others tends to suffer. The following is information on three of the many options available in pocket size cameras.
The first camera we'll look at is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 that seems to have compromised in certain areas. We found the images to be consistently a little too soft for our tastes, but you never know who may love that quality. Some might find this cameras quick shooting capabilities appealing. Able to perform under a variety of conditions, this is an adaptable digital camera. This ultra compact camera has a 3.5 inch color TFT matrix LCD display and has 12 megapixel capabilities and 4X zoom. The other issue we noticed in addition to the photo softness, was the battery life was not as long as could be hoped. Because there are too many features to cover adequately in this article, you will need to do more research if you are interested in this camera.
For those that prefer a point and shoot camera, there is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH20 This ultra compact camera includes a built in flash and LCD and has 14.1 megapixel resolution. For those who are concerned about LCD particulars, it uses an active matrix TFT technology design. This camera does not use an optical viewfinder at all, and instead you'll the 2.7 LCD display to review and frame your videos and images. There is also an optical image stabilization system to compensate for shaking.
If you're looking for something that is less specialized and has more of an overall application, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 is a great option. It lacks jpeg processing ability, but you won't be disappointed with your photos. This pocket sized camera has 10.1 megapixel resolution and a 3 inch TFT LCD display. The LX5 is Panasonic's follow up model to their super successful DMC-LX3 model. Panasonic had to really work at trying to improve on the LX3.
The improvements are not that massive, in our opinion. The sensor in the LX5 is only about 30% more sensitive than that of the LX3. You will notice improved color because the LX5 LCD uses a higher index for color rendering and it has LED back lighting, as well. There you have it, just a few of the lower end (in our opinion) pocket size cameras. If you've never used a digital ultra-compact camera, these would be good for testing out. Reasonably priced, these cameras can produce decent quality pictures.
