Weight Loss for New Mothers

How to Lose Weight After Giving Birth
Don't stress out if you aren't happy with the weight you gained while you were growing your baby. As long as you know what to do, losing the weight should happen quickly. You might not think that you have the time to work out because your baby needs you nearby most of the time. Of course, your baby will be taking lots of naps. If you get into the habit of getting your workouts in whenever your baby is napping, you'll soon see drastic results. Here are three things that you can do while your baby is sleeping that will keep you energetic and feeling your best.
Latin style dancing has two specific benefits to losing weight. Latin dancing enables you to feel sexier as you swing those hips, tap those feet and roll those shoulders as you burn calories. Online videos and workout DVDs are a great way to learn a few dance moves even if you aren't perfect at them. This can be extremely fun to work out this way and best of all you won't even feel like you are working out at all. While you watch the weight fall off you will continue to have fun and will be more likely to stick with it. While on your hands and knees with your wrists under your shoulders you can get a workout that will help. Once in this position you will lower yourself until your forearms are flat on the floor. Then, straighten your legs so that your body makes a straight line. Now, inhale through the nose and exhale out the mouth as you practice squeezing your abs and hold. Then, lower your chest to the floor and do pushups for thirty seconds. Do these steps three times. This exercise will help you strengthen your core and correct your posture.
Strengthen abs and lose weight with the classic crunch. You can do crunches by lying flat on you back with knees bent and hands behind your head. The next thing to do is inhale as you life your head and shoulders off the ground and exhale as you tighten your abs and lower your head and shoulders back to the floor. While you're doing that, bring your ribs towards your hips while relaxing your bottom. Now slowly, lower to the starting position and repeat. As you gain endurance you'll want to increase to 50 at some point. Be careful not to harm yourself but after reaching 50 add some weight to increase your endurance and challenge. If you do these workouts often enough, you'll see results in no time at all. They are easy to do both while your child is resting and to spread out across your day instead of trying to do everything at once in a larger block of time. Of course, it is even easier to shed weight if you do them all at once at least three times a week (or any other 20-30 minute workout three times each week). So do these exercises as often as you can, and keep it up, and you'll be fitting into your pre-baby jeans before you even realize it.
